Speech Pathologist
Duties and Responsibilities: Speech-language pathologists (sometimes called speech therapists) assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Speech, language, and swallowing disorders result from a variety of causes, such as a stoke, brain injury, hearing loss, development delay, a cleft palate, cerebral palsy, emotional problems.
Salary: $44,430 - $107,650

Education: Speech-language pathologists work with patients who have problems with speech. Their patients may be unable to speak or have rhythm and fluency problems, such as stuttering.
